I've just had a problem come up on a 2001 996 TTb - when I unlock the car via the key, the trunk also pops open. I close the trunk, drive off and then it pops open again - have tried both keys and same problems - I am thinking water maybe in the release , but just thought I'd ask before pulling apart
Hey maloo22. I Had the same issue on my 02 Targa after getting it back from the dealer for a small bumper repair. Seems to have fixed it self. Also would fail to lock or unlock at times. Has your car been sitting for awhile? I suspect it was a weak battery. It took them over a month and my thoughts are they just let it sit and the battery went flat. After a month of regular driving, all seems well thankfully
