Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My local independent Porsche specialist has been repairing and racing Porsche since the early eighties. They are not an approved installer for LN upgraded bearing. Can I still get upgraded LN bearings installed by these guys? I've dealt with these guys many times in the past. I would rather not go elsewhere.

POST 2Original post

My local Indy would be my goth guy if I needed IMS installed.

POST 3Original post

^ Lots of black eyeliner to go with that install? I don't believe my indy is approved, but I had them do the install. If forced to decide between a stranger who is approved and someone I've known for years who isn't, it's a no-brainer...

Trying to think of a reason for the question.......you have good relationship and obviously trust your indy. What exactly are you worried about? Warranty? Your indy's competence to do the install correctly?

POST 6Original post

Theres a bunch of DIY guys that have successfully done an IMSB replacement so its not rocket surgery. As long as your guy has done a few, I would go with him.
