This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've been scouting 996.2 for a few months and am ready to purchase. My focus has been C4S; the 40th anniversary model I saw at Hershey, though, really distracted me. Do I understand correctly, that the power bump in the 40th cars comes from putting the standard 2005 (M97) motor into this 2004 (M96) car? I'm not too stressed about IMS-- in the easy-fix iteration!

POST 2Original post

Nope. It's the M96 engine with the power kit. The early 2005 997 cars also utilize the M96 engine.

POST 5Original post

The 996 40th is a nice looking car with a great package of equipment. It would be a nice car to buy within the 996 family.

POST 6Original post

There are several standard options on the 40th AE 996, in addition to the X51 power package. Here is a good link that summarizes what you get: http://www.etusivu.info/Porsche-911-...nniversary.htm Sport Exhaust was not standard on the 40thAE, so you'll want to check the options included on the car you are considering.

POST 7Original post

Why selling so soon? From the listing info I always thought that you got a great deal on a low-mileage 40AE.

Is that the one at Autohaus Lancaster?

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I saw one on the grounds at the CPA PCA swap over Easter weekend. Don't know if it was autohaus or one of y'all at the wheel!

Thought I was going to be able to give up racing for a while (I can't). I sold the car in my avatar and bought this with some of the money. I should have bought a cheaper one and one that didn't require a $2k ride up here.
