Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

59 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

9 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Credit for this goes to "Vampyre" great site works on 1995 Porsche or newer. Very useful if you're shopping and what to find out EXACTLY what your prospective Porsche you're considering came with. Just remember that the third letter is NOT a letter it's a ZERO. Also VIN is case sensitive. admin.porschedealer.com/repo...ets/index.php? OOppps! Sorry not working.

POST 2Original post

missing the last 'p '. https://admin.porschedealer.com/repo...eets/index.php

POST 3Original post

Very nice. My car was almost $90k pre-tax. Thank you first owner for getting me all the options I wanted.

Its not finding my VIN.

POST 7Original post

Interesting...I never ran the build sheet off my VIN before. All my paperwork on the car says Meridian Metallic...the build sheet says it's Arctic Silver Metallic using the VIN. Also sold for $85k...and they never took delivery of the hard top. Thanks for the link

POST 8Original post

Seems useless...I put in 3 known good VINs I've had (one 1986, Two 1999) and it found neither of them.

POST 9Original post

Quotes source posts: 11308755, 11308819

Maybe because the links I posted are for OPTION CODES...not VINs particularly useful in deciphering the OPTIONs STICKER under your frunk too bad for you

POST 10Original post

Thanks Porsche 951!!!!! Found my car listed. It was $82,645.00 new.

POST 12Original post

It didn't find mine either. I used the zero instead of the letter O and it says 'No data available in table'. also tried year and model all divisions, same result.

website was flaking out several days ago. Got the info printed for both my 996TT and 996 C4S and then it wouldn't work anymore. Believe that was last Friday. 2003 Carrera 4S Speed Yellow / 1955 356 Continental 1500 Rust Red

POST 14Original post

Tried it this morning - worked fine for me. Great info!

POST 16 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've tried it on at least a dozen cars I've seen advertised and its worked on all of them.

POST 17Original post

Worked on my car. I wish it had a more specific build date instead of just month and year. I would like to know what my car's actual birthday is.

POST 18Original post

^pull your rear bumper and there will be a sticker on the right hand side of rear bulkhead which has exact build date on it

POST 21Original post

Worked on mine. Options match the COA. Holy ****, the depreciation on these things is amazing. $162.5K before taxes ('04 TTx50 w PCCB).

POST 22Original post

^no kidding, $187k + taxes, in Canada these(GT2's) listed at ~$270k+15% tax in 2003 lol

POST 23Original post

Didn't work on my 2002 996... WP0ZZZ99Z2S6xxxxxx.... possibly only WP0AA2 VINs as that's all I see when I select build sheets by year? Thoughts?

POST 24Original post

Didn't work on my 2003 996...Validated the VIN but 0 results.

POST 27Original post

Worked for me as well. thanks for posting this. If I recall Suncoast has this feature on their website but they charge $10 per VIN.

POST 29Original post

Quotes source post: 11309791

Well...if I could tell a 5 from an "S" it would have worked the first time! $90,600 new. Surprised the Dash Trim, Air Vents, and Seat Belt Outlets painted the exterior color were from the factory. Thanks!

I had the same problem. My sheet matches the original window sticker that came with my car. Pretty sweet website. I assume the answer is yes but is the total number of entries for a year and specific submodel equal to the total number manufactured? Would be cool to be able to enter your exact configuration and see how many were made.

POST 31Original post

Worked fine for my 996 and Cayenne, But looks like it only goes back to 95 so I cant do my 86 911.

POST 32Original post

Might just work on North Amercan cars

POST 34Original post

any idea where this data is coming from and why some cars are in and some are not? I didn't make the cut... :-P

POST 37Original post

Quotes source post: 11310590

Doesn't seem to have much info in there for pre-2001 996's. If you look at the listing of all 400,000-odd cars, there are only 104 listings for 1999 - 2000. My car wasn't in there either.

POST 38Original post

KoB is right on. Mine had no record, so I searched on all 1999 C4 coupes. Only two hits, neither of which were mine. Cool tool for those lucky enough to find their cars though! Very curious as to what determines which cars are in the database and which are not.

POST 41Original post

It worked for me as well, but I had it ran at Suncoast and that one showed twice as many options?

POST 43Original post

I searched the database more closely and found only 104 VINs listed before Model Year 2001. (2 vehicles listed for 1995, 0 for 1996, 24 for 1997, 12 for 1998, 29 for 1999 & 37 for 2000) The entire list contains 435,641 entries up to and including the new 2015 Macan Turbo.

POST 46Original post

I guess it doesn't work for European cars... At least my chassis was not found.

POST 47Original post

For mine it has the options list, and base price, but no price listed for any of the options.

POST 50Original post

I had to use capitals to make mine work, then it was no problem!

POST 51Original post

Worked for me! Doesn't show the replacement X51 engine that Porsche installed a few years ago.

POST 53Original post

Like other Pre 2001 model-year, my 2000 996 Cab did not make it neither...that's too bad.

POST 56Original post

Don't need it...Still have the window sticker for my car in the big 3 inch binder the previous owners kept with all receipts and documentation. And I continue to add to it with my inputs as well. The only receipts I don't keep are those for gas.

POST 57 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've found it to work about 90% of the time. Those who it didn't work for remember it is case sensitive and that WPO the O is a ZERO.
