question: when i purchased car airbag light was on due to battery going dead from garage storage - owner had hard time resetting OB11 computer.

all, really happy with my high mileage *****... she's tight and has dentures which makes it much easier to walk after a night out. question: when i purchased car airbag light was on due to battery going dead from garage storage - owner had hard time resetting OB11 computer. any ideas?

Airbag light cannot be reset by OBDII scanners because it's not part of OBDII. You need Durametric or other P-scanners to reset it. Also, low battery should not trip the airbag light. Gotta be something else wrong with the SRS.

Not always, but often the air bag light is on due to the seat buckles contact. Lots of threads on this, use the search button to read up on.

Which fault codes are you getting? If the airbag fault code is above 100 then you cannot reset the fault code. I had 140 and 109, had to buy a new triggering unit to remove the codes. You can get a new triggering unit easily from ebay. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trks...at=0&_from=R40 All fault codes over 100 indicate a critical fault and usually require a new control module
