Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi All, Now that my 996 is lowered on H&R's, and 4 new wishbone arms, I need to get the Geometry setup. My local Indy's gauges are broken so I'm taking it to a tyre place with the correct gauges. Can anyone tell me suitable settings to dial into the suspension? I'm told either as close to stock as possible, or GT3 settings are best? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Keith

POST 3Original post

Generally speaking it depends upon how you intend to use the car. On the street, I'd start with the factory settings. They give the best all round tire life and car feel. If after some time if you feel you require something extraordinary then at least you know. For the track, I'd look into what drivers with a similar setup to your car are using, and how they are doing. If they are slow, well, that's that. Move on. Well, maybe not before you find out what alignment settings they are using to put into your notebook so you avoid those settings for your car. It is the fast drivers you want to pay attention to. Find out what settings they are using.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I won't be tracking the car, its for about 7k a year street use. Does anyone have a list of the factory settings? Keith
