Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

When I entered my 2002 Targa VIN it gave me the correct build sheet although my carbon e-brake and shifter was missing but they may have been installed aftermarket.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Dad just bought a 2004 Turbo X50. Beautiful car. Tons of options. Weird thing is that the option sticker under the front hood does not have the code for the aero kit (XAF) and PCCB (450), yet the car has those options.
Weird.
Could it be that those options were packaged together and not listed individually? The car does have 09971 which I thought mean't exclusive program.
Any ideas? Has anyone had the same experience?
Or we're these options put on after the fact....

2003 Carrera 4S Speed Yellow / 1955 356 Continental 1500 Rust Red
PCCB, like the aerokit, can be added to a vehicle after the original build. As mentioned above, it's a very expensive option. I think that Suncoast sells the "upgrade" kit for the 996 turbo and C4S for a little over $15K.
Find the "Save this Webpage" thread enter your VIN and see if that shows those options. When I entered my 2002 Targa VIN it gave me the correct build sheet although my carbon e-brake and shifter was missing but they may have been installed aftermarket.
Interesting. So, it is possible that when the original owner purchased the car he had the dealer install those options?
Aero kit seems reasonable. Still would not understand PCCB after the car left the factory.
I heard something about "dealer packages" offering exclusive items in a bundled package. Don't know if anyone has heard of this..
It could have been installed by the dealer, or even by the owner or an independent mechanic. It's not a difficult upgrade. There are theoretical advantages to having PCCB, including lighter weight, less brake fade, etc. That being said, many of the hardcore track guys remove their PCCB brakes and go back to steel rotors.
There's no telling what the prior owner may have done to the car. For some people, dropping $15K on a brake upgrade is no big deal.
I think I figured this out, if I am wrong someone let me know. I could not afford a new 911 in 1999. So there are factory options which show up on the window sticker - and can be traced through the VIN. but the techquipment options are on the sticker as "Porsche exclusive options"?
I have seen some stickers with $10K plus in exclusive option
here is a list of tequipment options I found for the 996's (can still actually buy some)
http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/...996-detail.htm
So if you go to ebay or another sire that lists used cars and look at original window stickers if present(it amazes me more of these car don't have them, but...) you will see a line for Porsche exclusive options on some of the cars.
Damn the prices keep rising on these options. I'm still amazed that a body kit can reach close to $10k. LOL.
Maybe I should put out a feeler to trade my OEM taco wing for a 996 roller.
Here are your options:

Unfortunately you will still have to look up all the codes.
The only things that jumped out at me were:
IX50 Power Kit 331/340KW
IXRC 18 Inch Sport Techno wheels
IXRN 17MM Spacers, Rear
M450 PCCB Ceramic Brakes
Yes and no. Don't you love specific answers. In comparing some of the underhood stickers with window stickers sometimes the exclusive options are there and sometimes not. I took this to mean that the factory or dealer can install some options.
