This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

25 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 8Original post

170,xxx and counting! Just had the IMS/RMS/AOS done. Clutch is done, timing guide, chain, etc were all done, too. Can't wait to DD it.

POST 9Original post

97k daily driver, soon to start climbing more quickly as my commute is going to go from 5 miles to 20. I can't imagine having this car and not driving it every day.

POST 10Original post

I think I'm at around 140k now. So far so good...

POST 11Original post

~125k, original engine, original single row IMS, Mobil1 0w40 throughout its life, stock oil filter assembly, stock thermostat, no noise, redline at least once every time I drive it.

POST 12Original post

220K miles. Original engine, slightly refreshed 2 summers ago.

POST 14Original post

144k+ and it runs great. My favorite car by far to drive. Have had it almost a year, DD it thru a really nasty winter. Love it so much I'm starting the search for a 996tt (assuming business stays good!). These are fantastic cars.

. Ha ha, just bought a 996 TT today! 2003 Carrera 4S Speed Yellow / 1955 356 Continental 1500 Rust Red

POST 16Original post

Dave - congrats! Maybe in a separate thread, but pics, details and maybe some thoughts on search and pricing. I'll bet 90% of NA drivers would be interested in the info.

POST 17Original post

Oops. Just visited the 996tt forum and saw your thread. Still, I think a thread here on your experience and info gained would be welcomed. Ironic that your Na is speed yellow and you bought a black turbo. I've got a black NA and will be looking for a Guards Red turbo, but will also look at speed yellow cars. Love the cars with color.

POST 19Original post

Hey Groovezilla, I thought you had some airplane pics with your thread title....

POST 21Original post

216k with a failed heater core and running cold AC right now. Otherwise doing fine but due for my third clutch soon. JKC

POST 23Original post

My favorite threads are always the high mileage ones. Just turned 70k couple of days ago. Coming up on one year of ownership as of the 17th. Put just a shade under 8k miles in my first year. Total out of pocket costs past 12 months was $60 for 10 quarts of Mobil 0W-40 and a filter. Still on original IMS and clutch. Hope to get that done sometime this summer.

POST 24Original post

Bought my '03 C2 late Nov 2013 with 124K miles. Last week Thursday we rolled up to 130K on the way home from work. Original clutch, IMS, and RMS.
