Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So my car came with the XAA option from factory (aero kit) and I still have that switch located next to the foot rest on the driver side. I believe this switch was to raise / lower spoilers on non-aero cars?? I am wondering why I have it and whats the purpose of it then? Anyone know?

POST 3Original post

My '99 996 has the factory aerokit. It has the factory switch. I'm guessing as they rolled down the assembly line they were installed as a part of the whole electrical system process. I also get the instrument cluster light for the spoiler when I start the car. As with my Boxsters, the light goes out as soon as I start rolling.

Crap, I don't think I have any DRS zones between my house and office.
