They've also got a good head start on LED's as they use the quality 3w Osram units instead of the cheap stuff on their premium led's.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

17 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I need to replace the HID bulbs and I pulled one out yesterday to see the numbers on it so I can order the same exact pair but Im a little confused as I can't tell if this is a 4300K color bulb or what. These numbers range all the way up to 12000K and I want to have the same color temperature as I have on there now. And what the hell does that number mean with the arrow pointing to it?

POST 2Original post

You can buy any bulb that is a D2S bulb with 4300K temperature. And yes you replace in pairs.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks roadsession. I guess I wasn't clear on my question. How do I know what temperature my current bulb is as I like the color of the light and I want to get the same.

POST 4Original post

Most if not all factory stock bulbs are 4300k. If you want it slightly more blueish without looking like rice then 5k. Anything above, you start getting into being too blueish then purple once you go past 8k. 4300k-5k has shown to be the brightest in terms of illumination and hence the reason why OEM's stick to that Kelvin rating. If you have some night time pics of your lights, we can probably tell what kelvin's they're at.

POST 5Original post

I looked up the part number and it's saying it's 4300K. I have them in stock if you're interested. -Jason

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys. Don't have any night time pics. Im just gona go with either 4300k or 5000k whichever one I can find cheaper. Jason whats your price for a pair?

POST 7Original post

996pp, I have Osram-Sylvania for $140.00 pair minus Rennlist 10% discount for $126.00 shipped and no tax. Or I have a Jahn brand for $110.00 pair minus 10% for $99.00 shipped. I can also have them to you before the weekend for no additional shipping charge. -Jason

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Frank for the info, but where do you buy bulbs for 39.99? And is that for the pair?

POST 13Original post

I use DDM bulbs in all of my cars, never had one die on me. OEM-quality light output and the color of the bulbs is always consistent. About $30 a pair after shipping. They also offer a 4500k bulb, which is just a hair whiter than your standard OEM 4300k bulb. http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/AP...lacements-Pair

POST 14Original post

+1 for DDM. They were one of the first to bring aftermarket HID to the US and one of the largest distributors in the US. They keep all the best ones to themselves and sells the rest to others for private label resellers. The color of their bulbs are always consistent since they tightly control their batches. They've also got a good head start on LED's as they use the quality 3w Osram units instead of the cheap stuff on their premium led's. The owner is american but actually owns a few production factories overseas so he directly controls QC, specs, batch control, etc. They've had some teething issues initially due to rapid growth but they've been around long enough to run a tight ship now.

Thank you fellas $30 a pair sounds good to me And our neighbors wonder how the hell we afford these cars LOL

POST 17Original post

That's definitely a good deal, I would go with the Phillips. None of my suppliers offer Phillips. -Jason
