Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

And should I go with one of those recommended covers or basic one with softer inside to not hurt the paint?

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I may be purchasing my 1st 911 tomorrow! once the deal is signed, sealed and delivered I'll post a thread with my new baby.. it'll be a 2004 C4S.
couple of questions, and these may be loaded questions..so i apologize.
Covers:
I've read through this forum among many others. It sounds like a NOAH or Weathershield are the ones most recommended. Some background on how I'll use the car. I initially wanted just a weekend car, but now have the feeling it will be more of a every other day car. I was planning on keeping the car outside in my driveway (please don't cast stones). Live in Bay Area, CA, so weather is pretty even keel - nothing too crazy except for some winds here and there. Car is Silver - light color. Am I crazy for wanting to keep it outdoors in my driveway??! (I may have no choice as we just redid our garage - gym on 1 half, kids playroom other half).. And should I go with one of those recommended covers or basic one with softer inside to not hurt the paint?
Warranty:
Should I get an extended warranty? I've had recommendations of MEPCO and Fidelity, if I decided to get one. Any recommendations?
Thanks, all!! Sorry for the crazy questions!
BTW, this is the BEST forum around. And I'm talking generally (not just Porsche related)..
Congrats, I hope. Do show us some pics, we love C4S cars! Do a search on warranties, best info I've seen came from a recommendation by Jake Raby at Flat 6 Innovations.

skip the cover and insurance. The insurance will be too expensive and when it comes to payout they will find a way to not pay out.
covers... not sure why? are you planning on covering it every time you park at your local walmart? sorry meant whole foods... Covers are usually used for long term storage. If you keep putting it on and off the odds are you will get something stuck under the cover and that will scratch the car.
Pictures please ! I park my C4S outside too. 1/4 gym 1/4 motorcycle shop 1/2 wife's BMW in my garage. I use a cover on nights when it storms. Lots of leaves and detritus get blown in from the lake we live on. The Porsche silver cover is excellent. I don't use a cover when I go to Walmart ...gasp ...for Mobil 1 or car care products.
That's what I was planning to do with cover. On days I may not be driving it (could be a couple days in a row or so), it'd be nice to protect from sitting in sun all day or stormy days...
I plan on posting new thread with my new toy. Just picked it up today!
