Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'Replace 92u' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace 92u' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

You are splitting hairs. Both are lovely colors for a 911 Porsche. I have an Artic Silver but would have settled for either. I think the inside has a lot going for a 911. A full leather different color than black would have been my choice but I have what I have, a black interior.
92M replaces 92U for Polar Silver
...but there were a couple of options
92E Polar silver metallic
92M* Polar silver metallic
92T Arctic silver metallic
92U* Arctic silver metallic
* indicates water based paint for pearl effect
I like both versions of silver. I really like GT Silver metallic also.
However, when I bought my 996 I specifically avoided cars that were silver, black or red. I wanted something that wasn't quite as common.
Seal Grey Metallic is my favorite Porsche color. My 996 is black, but I'd love it even more if it were seal grey. The lighter silvers are a little too common, and the louder colors (yellow) are a little too look-at-me for my tastes.
No dis on the silver cars... they're all good looking.
For
my
tastes when I was searching for a MKII C2 coupe...
First Choice
:
Seal Gray
Polar Silver
White
Second Choice:
Black
Arctic Silver
Arena Red
Looks great on
other
peoples car, but definitely not for me:
Speed Yellow
Guards Red
Forest Green
Similarly, wood trim, tan interiors, and soft-look leather were all deal-breakers for me. Just not my taste...
i didnt realize it was that dramatic a difference. the polar silver seems more vivid in this pic. polar is awesome and i like that the colour seems to change somewhat between a grey overcast kinda day and a full sun kinda day.
a friend mentioned he saw me blast past him one day...said it looked awesome and the car is very distinctive looking in the polar silver.
I searched for a year in 2007 for a Targa with a different interior and fell in love with the Arctic Silver and Boxter Red full leather interior!

My previous 911 was a Polar silver 993. I wasn't crazy about it when I first saw the car until I opened the door and saw the Midnight Blue interior. I thought it was a great combination. Since then I've seen numerous 911s with Polar over Black and it doesn't look as good to me. I like the Arctic silver cars but they're just so common.
