Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Hey guys, Need some help choosing new wheels for my 98 996 c2, I found 2 sets of genuine 19" 997 wheels I can get for good deal. Just not sure which ones will fit or look better, any info or anyone who has either set with pics? Btw: I have just lowered my car 35mm on h&r springs

I already have 18" carrera lightweights, want more of an updated look

POST 7Original post

Are you selling your lightweights... I may be interested

POST 8Original post

Option 2 is wide body turbo fitment. You can "make" them work with some modification but for direct swap, option 1 would be more ideal. If you want a more flush look with option 1, you'll want f/r spacers.

Yes I will be, but I'm from Australia so shipping would be quite expensive

The option 2 wheels are actually off another 996 mk2, he says they will fit my car no problems, but from what I've read will need to roll my guards at least, http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Porsche-1...d4cb269&_uhb=1 Can anyone confirm if 19x10 et42 275/30/19 Tyres will fit? Do mk2 996s have more clearance then mk1?

I have needed up choosing the lobster claws & have had them fitted, as u said it bolted straight on although the front wheel sits too far in & doesn't look right, What size spacers do you recommend? My car is lowered 35mm on h&r springs? Am about to order 8mm fronts & 5mm rear from ecs? Does that sound right?

POST 12Original post

Depends on how "hella flush" you want to get. I often find the younger guys wanting that maximum aggressive stance look so they bring it out as far as possible. The older guys want a more conservative and factory like look. But the spacer sizes you listed sounds good allowing you to run without any modification.

What is the max you think I could go without rubbing? Maybe try 10mm front 8mm rear?

POST 14Original post

I really like the look of lobsters... and they are pretty light for their size. The ding on them is that they are a bit fragile.
