Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 1 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

All: It is very simple to roll your fenders. I borrowed the Eastman tool below and it would not fit the hub correctly on my C4S. Sooooooooo I dug deep into some old BMW day's modifications (20's on a e39 M5 for example). I heated the rear lip to an average of 130 degrees and then took my 5lb sledge and bent the inner lip in. No paint cracking and on test drive no rubbing. Kinda satisfying to pound on your Porsche

POST 3Original post

A better choice would have been the handle of a baseball bat. Put it between the tire and the fender and roll the car forward and backwards. Slowly push the handle in towards the big end of the taper and it will gently roll the lip.

POST 4Original post

Eastwood does make a hub adapter that will fit Porsche hubs. http://www.ecstuning.com/ES2702755/

POST 5Original post

I use a dead blow and it worked great. Much better than a sledge

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Nine The sledge worked like a champ. Took more time to take the rims off and put back on than to do the modification. So either works fine

POST 7Original post

I modified my Eastwood roller to fit a 5x130 bolt pattern.
