Hi, Has anyone here attempted to install an Optima battery? There is no direct replacement available according to their website. I have had great luck with them in the past. Thanks, Andy

Hey Andy I can not help you but I would love to know for myself. My battery up and died on me at the Daytona 24. I also wanted an Optima but Sunday morning at the Pep Boys netted me one Duracell. See you at Road Atlanta.

I installed the Optima with absolutely no problems. The instructions on the NordStern website were great, although I returned the 30 inch battery lead for a 20 inch cable. My car is a 2001 Turbo, I guess some things may have changed through the production years. BTW, I weighed the two batteries. According to my scale, the stock battery weighed in at a healthy 49.5 lbs, while the Optima was 40 lbs. I just saved 9.5 lbs. mounted high in the car! I think I'll post the weight savings in a new topic. Andy
