Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am hoping that one or some of you may be able to help me out. I want to "lower" my 2003 996 because there is an excessive gap in my wheel wells. I do not want to spend the $$$ on coilovers because for regular street driving they are overkill. I was wondering if anyone has these springs or seen them in a car and how low the car actually sits - the Techart site says 35mm. I already have the european sport spring and am slightly lower than stock height. How much lower will my car sit and what will the gap be after the install??? And are these springs any good????? Thanks in advance. Johnny.

POST 2Original post

Just so you know, if you go to low your shocks may prematurely wear out. The shocks are most likely not made to run with springs that low, you should talk to someone that has done this. Personally, I would not just to do springs. Do it right and either do coilovers or a matched spring and shock combo.
