Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Can we say insult any louder. Not to mention the horrible lease rate on the Pepper.

POST 2Original post

My Father just traded in his 2001 C2. Loaded to the gills. Aerokit, Full Carbon, Full, leather, etc...Sticker was around $105k they gave him $55 for his trade. $28k sounds very low. How many miles.

POST 3Original post

That does sound low, but you have to remember, these cars aren't exactly flying off the shelves these days. Dealer is prob assuming that it will take forever to sell that car.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

42,500 miles, Litronic, 18" Turbos, Supple leather, power seats, Alum. Dials shift/brake handles and sills, Hi-Fi, CD Changer, LSD, SS Tips...sticker was 85k...and the car is super clean.

POST 5Original post

"...were going to trade in the 99 996 for a Cayenne until the GT3 gets here this summer. " If you told the dealer that you're planning to buy 2 porsches in the next 6 months, he probably thinks that you have some cash to burn (and maybe he's right?), hence the lowball offer. 996's and 986's are not exactly selling like hotcakes, but the dealers are going to try to get a premium on the Cayenne for as long as market demand exists (and as deliveries are just starting to trickle out it would be hard to know if that supply/demand imbalance will last 3 months or 3 years). My recent experience agrees with yours, that a 99 coupe would actually sell around $40K to $45K depending on color, condition & options. So you can probably get a better deal if you work both the buy & sell sides of your transaction together, or sell your 99 on your own or to a Used Porsche specialist.

POST 6Original post

Well you have to remember that the 40's is the current market rate for private party. Dealers will not pay that as they want to profit so it's always at least 5k + less than that, but still at 25, that's just stupid. That tells you how many lease returns, and how hard it is for them to sell it I guess, that they would need to pick it up for that low just in case they have to sit on it! Put it in the paper and or on ebay and it will go for 40. The miles are a bit high also for that price.

POST 7Original post

Sell it yourself. I agree with SPR that you can get $40K. I think if you want to sell it real fast, put it on Autotrader.com or your local paper for $36K and it'll be gone quickly. That's almost 30% more than what you would have gotten from the dealer.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I paid 44,000 for the car 3 months ago. The market here in south florida "aka the land where the name rules" is not that soft. Porsches are hot and dealers are always selling their inventory and '99's are selling in the high 40's low 50's in my area. I love the car have not had it long but we have 2 911's in the house and a 3rd on the way and its just not practical. So it looks like the C2 will go torwards an M5 for now and keep the C4S and await the GT3..however long it takes to get it.

POST 9Original post

ETS, Just curious, how long is your wait going to be for the GT3? - I was talking with a buddy who is contemplating trading his C2 Aero for a GT3. Just Curious...

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Cajun, I was told I am getting the June arrival car as their first one is an April build.
