Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I took my 911 2000 C4 for repair because CEL came on. It had an air leak intake problem. The second day driving CEL came back on. Brought it back in my mechanic reset light. It came back on again next day. Mechanic checked everything including fuel pressure, purge valve, MAF, oxygen sensors. Everything checked out with computer. He then recalibrated oxygen sensors. So far one day and light remains off. Has anyone experience with this issue?

POST 2Original post

NO, but than again I don't own a 911 2000 C4..

POST 3Original post

I've had the CEL light come on a few times lately. I immediately purchased a code reader which allows me to reset the light. Best $70 I could have spent! My offending code had something to do with evaporative system, and the last time it just went out on it's own after I failed to reset it for about 3 days. You shouldn't be too worried unless the CEL is flashing.

POST 4Original post

+ 1 on the code reader. You can look up the code on Renntech.org and reset it. O2 sensors are way too sensitive in my opinion.

POST 5Original post

Please explain to me how he did that ??? O2 sensors either work or they don't. You need a code reader and report the fault codes here or on RennTech.org and someone will help you.

POST 6Original post

I think you hook the car up to a machine with a lot of lights and stuff and turn some ***** and then you charge the customer $60.00 or more and tell them you re-calibrated the O2 sensors. Bring the car back for another $60 if that doesn't work!!

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

mechanic used computer to recalibrate something. I thought it was oxygen sensor.
