Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The car wash guy broke part of the Carerra emblem on the rear deck lid of my 996. (I know, I should have been washing it myself!) Anyway, I got a new one. Can someone tell me how to remove the old one without wreaking the paint?

POST 2Original post

POST 3Original post

Just leave it off for a day and you will never want to put another one back on. It looks much cleaner without anything there IMHO.

POST 4Original post

Hey Pestodude, if I were you I'd buy the OEM "911" numbers and apply them (they were stock for the millenium edition of the 996), or really get personal and do this: <img src="http://www.986host.com/albums/doncapecod/DSC00039.sized.jpg" alt=" - " />

POST 5Original post
