Need to change the whole front shaft and differential along.

Well here I am, back to good (?!) old Lagos after spending some four weeks in Dubai with Fadi (Fadz911).
Unfortunately his CS4 developped a rather weird problem starting with the variocam switch that busted that gave a check-engine light. Moreover, it was found out that some bearing in the front drive shaft was bad and making a weird noise. Need to change the whole front shaft and differential along. Luckily the car is still under warranty.. Unluckily, Porsche Emirates has been taking the issue lightly after which Fadi had to file a complaint.. More to come on the matter although he is thinking of a swap to a 996CS4 cabrio..
I was also able to experience my first ride in a 1994 993 carrera2. The only word that can simply brief the 993 is: SOUND! what a range of bass this car can tune, especially over the 4k rpm range. Surely the power, suspension, grip, etc.. is not as exhalarating and advanced as the CS4's 996, but the Kart-feel of the car makes it more fun to handle and drive. It's what i'd describe as a juvenile spoilt brat of a 996!
Finally, we had the lucky opportunity to be on board 'co-piloting' in a radically beefed-up, rally-ready.. now hear this: Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI Tommi Makinen Edition with a whooping 380hp off from a million gadgets including a NOS breather (that'd take it to a drag power of 450hp).. Now this car ROCKS. I have never experienced so much power surge due to its 'bang-bang' manifold-detonations (very scary) amongst the many gimmiks that overpowered this car.. Just neck snapping all the way to fifth gear. Moreover, no T/C, PSM, ASD, or any alphabetical invention can really match the lateral g's this car can take. Roundabout were curved over 100mph with the driver tamely describing about the car's built-in technologies.. Out of my physics book she screams!! I later found out that the later Evo-7 pulls 0.98g on a skidpad, with no other car matching this figure except the viper.. The C4S is lower to 0.92g..
I know some guys out there might be thinking: wait till you get your a** in the seat of a Gembella or GT2 or whatever, but i still think this car wouldnt have made it up to the rally trophies if it werent 'The One'.
Well, it's good to be back driving my own 996 which is unfortunately going to be on sale in the next month.. The move to Dubai has been decided.
