Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I believe I might have accidently put the reset wire in the wrong slot/and or the wire might not be 100% even though I checked them with a volt meter, I reconnected the connector after I accidently pulled it off, because I forgot to run it down behing the center!
Leading evidence: 'Reconnect connector' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Reconnect connector' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Push and hold for several seconds in the case of "reset" of the OBC functions.

I think it is possible that I put the reset connector in the wrong pin on the instrument panel then as it does not reset when pushed.

I am wondering because it would be nice to periodically reset the mpg.

So if I push in the switch I wired on the other toggle side non scroll then it should reset the obc?
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Everything seems to be wired up right and I can scroll through the stuff on the cluster. However if I push the opposite side of the button, isn't that supposed to reset the stuff? if doesn't do anything. Is this right or does the switch only scroll? I was reading the instructions from whiteson, and it says that if you push reset it should reset the trip odometer. Is he refering to the physical button that does this on the cluster itself or the switch that I wired up by pushing on the opposite side of the scroll button? I am wondering because it would be nice to periodically reset the mpg. Thanks. Sean
So if I push in the switch I wired on the other toggle side non scroll then it should reset the obc? or are you saying that if I push the trip reset on the cluster then that should reset the trip? Thanks I beleive you are noting the former. I believe I might have accidently put the reset wire in the wrong slot/and or the wire might not be 100% even though I checked them with a volt meter, I reconnected the connector after I accidently pulled it off, because I forgot to run it down behing the center! Dont' ask! thanks again Sean
You have me confused so I will tell you how I do it. There are 5 terminals on the back of the switch, You use the 3 middle ones to hook up your 3 wires. 2 of the 3 terminals are side by side and the third is above the other 2 at a 90 degree angle. The third terminal is for the ground wire. The 2 wires from the cluster go to the other two terminals - which wire goes to which depends on your preference - otherwise it does not matter.
I like it so you can advance the display by pressing on the high spot of the switch, and pressing on the low spot is the reset to zero. If you like it this way but yours is doing the opposite then just reverse the 2 wires on the back of the switch. This "hack" has nothing to do with the trip reset on the cluster. Jeff
ah, alright well that's exactly how I wired it. I think it is possible that I put the reset connector in the wrong pin on the instrument panel then as it does not reset when pushed. I will go and check. thanks. Sean
