This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Told you it would take a week to perform the work require on your car. It's been three weeks and they haven't even started the car yet. I needed a firm estimate because I had to fly into CA to pick it up. After waiting an additional week.(No car rental) I decided to shell out for another round trip ticket back to TX to wait out the extra week they said they needed. I fly back today. When I called to see how far along they were, all I got was it's going on the hoist today. (this was probably the fourth time they has told me this within a ten day span. WHAT WOULD YOU DO!

POST 3Original post

I wouldn't have let it go that long without some action. After a few days of them not touching my car, I would have picked it up and taken it to another dealer. If I make an appointment to get my car serviced, I expect that appointment to mean something. Luckily, I've never had a delay with my dealer.

POST 5Original post

If a dealer can't service you car for a number of days this is a pain. The shop can be busy and many people can be waiting. The problem appears to be that they HAVE your car. It is my assumption that if a dealer or any repair shop Porsche or otherwise takes a car in they have an obligation to at least start on the job that day or the next (if you bring it in evening). Having your car and SITTING on it for 2 weeks is unacceptable! If they have started and are waiting on a part from Germanay. Well your are pretty much SOL. Sounds to me like you should get the car and take it to another dealer. If it is not driveable had this dealer pay to tow it to another dealer your choice. Clearly they are not giving you the customer service you require. Seems to me that if they care that little about it now what will the quality of the work be like.

POST 6Original post

I hate to even mention this, but if you use Porsche roadside service (under warranty) to tow in, by policy you go to the front of the line for service. According to my dealer anyway, they suggested this to me once when they were ultra-busy.
