Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Outcome without a verified action link

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just found a Kit from them that includes ecu exhaust etc. and claims to put out about 30hp and 35 ft lbs torque for pretty cheap. Their ecu upgrade alone is very reasonable at about 700. The entire kit with exhaust is about 1800 or there abouts. It seems to be the best bang for buck that I have seen and I am seriously contemplating taking the plung, but wanted to know if anyone had tried any of their products etc. I have vaguely heard about them before as being reputable and that their claimed power outputs are real. Thanks.

POST 2Original post

I've not seen any data on Porsche ECU upgrades, but I have on BMW's. Despite Autothority's claims on their website, independent testers found no improvement in performance with their ECU upgrade. Some people always claim of course, that the car "feels" much faster after chipping their cars. Hmmmm.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Really no gain? Is that because of the factory set back programming stuff? That is interesting. I guess it's not such a good deal then huh?

POST 4Original post

I think most ECU upgrades does not provide much power gain at peak HP, but sometimes it does provide better throttle responsive and the mapping give more power in the mid range, however, the gain is not linear throughout the power band, simply give you power sooner..

POST 5Original post

From my experience with my friends cars with ecu upgrades is that as said before it just dumps more power earlier. On the down side the throttle response is very jumpy and eratic. Not worth it in my opinion.
