Suggestion

It is plastic and can be repainted fairly easily, however my paint job resulted in a few pin sized bubbles after a few months and I may end up replacing just the boot.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows if the following console parts are available to be bought separately. 1) The silver Porsche bit on the handbrake 2) The silver bit on the gear shift **** with the number of shifts Car is a C2, '99, 3.4 Thanks!

POST 2Original post

I'd like this info too. Mine's a 2000, but assuming it's the same pn's.

POST 3Original post

Also, the silver trim around the shifter boot?

POST 5Original post

Ive looked and not been able to find those seperately. Only found them as whole shifter and whole e brake.

POST 7Original post

pelican auto, summit racing or AutoMotion may have them. lA Dismantler. Probably need to send them a picture.

POST 8Original post

Check the appropriate parts schematics on the dCAuto website. If they have a separate part number, then yes. I suspect they are only available as a complete assembly.

POST 9Original post

FWIW The brushed silver parts on the shifter and the hand brake are aluminium. I polished them with a polishing kit on my dremel and they came out really well. Although the shine on the aluminum fades in a few months and requires a quick polish with a metal cream to maintain the 'like new' appearance. The horseshoe ring around the shift boot is another story though. It is plastic and can be repainted fairly easily, however my paint job resulted in a few pin sized bubbles after a few months and I may end up replacing just the boot.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
