Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

2002 996 C4 I have the BBS GT3 Split Rims 7.5" wide on the front and 10" on the rear, does anyone know the recommended sizes? I have read that both 285/30/18 and 295/30/18 are correct?

POST 2Original post

295 is the proper width for a wide body car (C4S or turbo). 285 is the proper width for a narrow body car (C2 or C4).

POST 3Original post

show me your C4 , I have a 01 w/Aero, GT3 replica wheels , 8 & 10's and are going to go up from 265 to 285 Conti

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

What's a little strange is that it has 7.5 on the front and 10 on the rear, I would have thought 10 on the rear should have 8 on the front?

POST 6Original post

I would expect the same thing. Boxster wheels are 7.5" width in the front.
