Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

I have reached out to both Speed Sport and Dan Jacobs and am waiting for some estimates. Anyone have any personal experience with an LNE retrofit in CT and have a shop recommendation? This is for a '99 C2 6 speed - no current issues and less than 17K on the odometer. thanks! -Ross

Wow, 17k in 14 years. How long have you owned it? Any pics to share?

Hoping to pick it up within a couple weeks. Working on scheduling the PPI now and trying to get a sense of how much of my budget needs to be set aside for IMS/RMS, tires, etc. I plan on driving it straight to the shop once I have the keys.

POST 5Original post

You requested estimates from the best in CT. On the non-race side, speak with Zach at Speedsport, he is the new "street" customer service man. Speedsport just did a ton of work on my car, I couldn't be happier. They know their stuff, now I can't wait till Spring. As for Dan Jacobs, his reputation is second to none. I have a good friend who services his 996 Cup car with Dan. Either choice, is a great one. Chris Musante also has a great rep, but I have never spoken with him. GL

Also give Morton a call. They may be price-competitive. http://www.mortoncompetition.com/

Do you have experience with them? They were very competitive on price but I am not familiar with them. Thanks for the tip!

POST 8Original post

Chris Musante has attended my M96 Engine Mechanical Class and was a very sharp attendee.

I race with one of the owners - Michael Stach. The other owner, Stewart, has been in business a long time, but I don't know him.
