Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
Note sure about having PSE w/o dash switch- check under car for a canister on the muffler that actuated the flap.
Leading evidence: 'Check under car' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check under car' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have a PSE going on and wanted to know from those who already have the PSE installed on their car as a factory option what the normal operation was for this exhaust.
When you start the car... is the exhaust "on" or "off"
Is there a speed where it cuts out even if one has the switch to "on"
Also, I don't have the switch that goes into the dash to control it... does that switch have a red light on it like the power door lock switch?
So when its "on" does the exhaust get quiet at a certain speed range?
Do you have a light on the switch to indicate its on or off? ( I don't have this switch and need to acquire)
Thx
I'm curious about this too, I found out my car has the PSE but no switch at all. I found the brown connector in the engine bay during an oil change and plugged it in, didn't really notice a difference in sound though, could be it's been unplugged so long the flaps in the exhaust are rusted shut though...
Yes there is a light on the switch that illuminates in the silent mode. Note sure about having PSE w/o dash switch- check under car for a canister on the muffler that actuated the flap.
Mine was froze when I got the car and dealer tinkered with it to get it working. Mine operates manually only via the switch, not speed activated.
Correct. When on (default), exhaust goes silent between 28-44 unless relay has been modded. Should be fairly noticeable. Seem to recall reading it has something to do with European noise restrictions in certain areas.
