Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have PCM 2 with integrated BOSE and 6 CD changer. Yesterday all was working fine after a 2.5hr drive, when I stopped for petrol. On restarting the car, ALL sound from CD/RADIO/NAV had ceased - PCM display was on though. This morning (10 hours later) I was going to look at fuses to see if anything had blown for the AMP, but when keys went into the ignition - presto, normality restored. Can I expect this to happen more often ? Comments appreciated. Greg

POST 2Original post

many new cars are like computers--they need to be restarted for no good reason now and then--especially when new. my 2000 benz s class used to do the same thing for its first 6 months. now it never happens
