Suggestion
Morries has a good reputation but you would probably have to inspect the cars and drive them yourself.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Has anyone who lives in Minnetonka, MN ever seen the '96 993 at Morrie's Mazda ? What about the 99 grey 996 w/aero kit. If you have driven any one of them, can you tell me what you think. Are they in good shape and how do they drive ? Any input is appreciated.
I live about 1/2 from Morrie's and have bought new cars from them in the past. I haven't seen either of these cars however because I don't go by the dealership very often. Do you want me to take a visual look at them?
Cloud,
I have seen both cars. The 993c4 looks good,~47k miles, excellent cosmetics stock appearence. The 996c2 is also nice, but aero kit/exhaust/intake are aftermarket. The dealership has a good reputation. Regards.

I stopped by and looked at the cars. They are side by side on their lot. It was raining so it was not the best time to look at them. Both cars have had all the stone chips and any other cosmetic issues fixed in their body shop. This makes them look brand new. The 996 has it's hood lever scuffed up to the point of missing paint on the silver handle. This is a common problem getting in and out of the car to be carefull not to scuf with your shoe. The 996 besides having the areokit has been debadged.
The 993 has a note on it not to open the sunroof. The salesman said it will need repaired before it is delivered. I talked to Mel. Other than the hood lever both cars looked new inside. I hope this gives you some idea about them. Morries has a good reputation but you would probably have to inspect the cars and drive them yourself.

Cloud,
Here's my story about Morrie's Mazda. I agreed to purchase a 2001 C4 from Morrie's. I placed a down payment and bought a plane ticket to pick up my car. I live in Michigan. I recieved a call from one of the managers two days before I was scheduled to go pick up the car. They told me that there had been a mistake and the car had been sold to someone else. After talking to my salesperson I found out that Morrie's sold the car to someone for more than I paid for it. Needless to say I was upset. I finally talked to the owner a week later. I threatened him with legal action and he finally returned my deposit and paid for my plane ticket. I would suggest you be careful in dealing with Morrie's. I have since bought a certified C4 and love it. My advice is to try to find a certified car, if you can afford it. It's worth every penny. Best of luck.

Hey Path,
What do you mean by saying that they returned the deposit to you. If they sold the car to somebody else, shouldn't they just return your deposit at that moment ? Do they want to keep your money too ?
Cloud,
Morrie's wanted to try and find another car for me. When I refused, they told me that they would find me another car real quick and make me another "great" deal. At that point in time, I was so upset I just wanted my money back. They made it very difficult for me to do that. I felt the right thing for them to do would have been to return my deposit and pay for my useless plane ticket immediately and then maybe offer to find a replacement car. Instead, I had to call them numerous times and threaten legal action. I have since learned that having a certified Porsche is by far the best way to go. Best of luck to you.
