Suggestion · Original poster

My completely unproven idea is to soak area with goo-gone (label adheasive remover) and then pull on script with fingers, or perhaps use a plasic putty knife???

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I think a few of you have pulled the model name plates off your 996's either to have "model delete" or to replace it with PORSCHE script. So - How did you do it? I'd like some advice please. My completely unproven idea is to soak area with goo-gone (label adheasive remover) and then pull on script with fingers, or perhaps use a plasic putty knife??? Would mild heat from a hair dryer help? If anyone has experience, please advise as to methods, or warn me off of project altogether! Thanks - Scott

POST 2Original post

With an Audi the trick is: Heat the text with a hairdryer, then use dental floss to separete the letters from the car. Use goo gone to remove the remainders of the glue. I'm sure it will work with a Porsche as well.

POST 3Original post

Allart is right on with removel technique. I tried the "911" script that Tweeks has in place of my "Carrera4" badge. I didn't like it so I went the P O R S C H E route...which for me was a bit more difficult. Let me know if you want to do this: <img src="http://www.986host.com/albums/doncapecod/New_Rear_Emblem_for_Misty_4.sized.jpg" alt=" - " />
