Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I need to make a decision, feedback would be great. OPD has offered to take my SportDesign's off me.They are in very good condition, only 7,000 miles on the tyres/wheels and car.Currently 265's on the rear For a New set of SportTechno wheels on the front 8J x 18 - 225/40/ZR 18 Pirelli's and on the rear, 11J x 18 - 295/30 ZR 18 again Pirelli's. Should be easlier to clean, the SportTechno's have only just come out (December 2002 - I'm told). Someone did say I needed the rear wings rolling but the dealer said no. I should add the OPD wants 1,750 plus my wheels, seems good. (US$2,600) Thanks for your help.

POST 2Original post

I believe your dealer is mistaken. The 11J x 18 Sport Techno wheels are only approved for use (with 17 mm spacers) on C4S and TT... NOT standard Carrera. Even the Porsche website says this - "*** Approved for fitment with 17-mm spacers on 911 Carrera 4S and 911 Turbo (rear wheels only)." There is a 10J x 18 Sport Techo wheel (996 362 140 51).

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Loren. It was the 11J they were talking about, I will investigate this, sounded too good to be true. Which website did you collect this from ? I have looked but could not find any data on them. Thanks again.

Porsche UK website, under 911 Tequipment, Wheels Table. <a href="http://www2.uk.porsche.com/english/gbr/accessories/911teq/raedertabelle.htm" target="_blank">Wheels Table</a>

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Got it. Thanks Loren, I will be having an interesting conversation with them in the next two days. I really don't like the way they have handled this, a bit surprised as they are Official Porsche Dealers. Thanks again. Colin
