Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi I know I've written this once before but can't find the topic anymore. Can anyone please tell me how wide reartires I can use on my C2 cab -99 (narrowbody) when I put on the H&R lowering springs ?? Today I have 295/30-18 with Gemballa 18" competitionwheels.

POST 2Original post

Hi, I have a Black 99 C2 cab with M030 suspension and 18" GAMBALLA cup split rims with 285 tyres on the rear, I am looking at fitting 19" and was wondering the same as yourself. I would be interested to see a picture of your car with the H&R springs and Gamballa wheels. Regards.

POST 3Original post

295's shouldn't be a problem. Many track cars run 305/30's and are significantly lowered. So unless the Gemballa wheels have some weird kind of offset or too large spacers, you should be fine. Karl

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I haven't put on the springs yet so I can't show you any pictures of the car. I only have pictures with the wheels on and without lowering. I'll try to upload a picture asap. About the racingcars that have even wider tires I have to say that they probably have made some fenderbending to their cars. Maybe the springs won't lower the car that much in the rear but they will probably make my 295's to wide. I'm considering 275's or 285's. I will anyway try to lower it in the rear with the 295's on to see how they're going to fit.

POST 5Original post

My 996 ran 305/30s with no fender bending. The wheel offset is the key, if it sticks out too far you will have problems. I used 10.5" Fikse FM10's with no problem. Karl

POST 6Original post

Karl, This is completely off topic...that oil kit you got for the 996, do you think anything would have happened to your car had you not installed it? If my memory serves me right, the kit does not make the 996's oil system a true dry sump.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok, thanks for your advise. Hopefully my offset isn't that bad then.
