Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I'm going to use the technique portrayed in the jpegs.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I've searched the archives but not found help on jacking two wheels at a time. My car is stored for the winter, but I'd like to take two wheels at a time (either one side at a time or F/F then R/R) to the local tire shop to get new tires mounted. I'm going to order from the Tire Rack but obviously need to get them mounted locally. I have a floor jack. what is the best jacking point to accomplish my goal?
Jack from the rear point, the whole side of the car will go up. AJ USAp/n AJ Favorites Jack Pad, 993/996/986 AJR 559 149 02 - has this pad, others available, but this one semi locks in place. Don't forget to remove it when you are done, mine is now somwhere at Watkins Glen turn 11.
If you have 4 jack stands you can do all 4 tires at once. Jack at the rear as Tom suggests and get a jack stand under the front jack point. Repeat for the other side. You should now have jack stands under the two front jack points.
Now go to the rear of the car, find the small, flat, L-shaped part of the engine block in front of the oil pan and jack the rear of the car up from there. Use a small block of wood to prevent any part of the jack saddle from coming in contact with other parts of the block or oil pan. You can now get jack stands under both rear jack points.
Don't forget to break the lug nuts loose on a 4 wheels before starting this procedure.

rick-
why don't you get tire rack to send the tires directly to your shop and let them them deal with jacking up the car ?
i don't think that you'll save any money by going thru this laborious process without a proper lift.
rick-
this will be a 1hr job in the spring at your local tire shop. why would you want your car sitting in your garage forming flat spots on your new tires?

Glad I'm not alone.
Sprung for Tire Cradles years ago - no flat spots for me. Besides my car has a factory aerokit. Everytime you let someone else (i.e. the tire shop guy) drive it, even in his parking lot, you run the risk of "sorry, it was an accident - didn't know that the front spoiler would drag". I'm going to use the technique portrayed in the jpegs. thanks for all of your input.
