This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

A number of Corvette enthusiasts are planning a "grip and rip" ride from the Bay Area to the Monterey area on Saturday, February 22nd. The tenative plan is to meet at a central location (tba) in San Jose, caravan down over Hecker Pass to the Marina for lunch <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" /> . This will be followed by a ride over Carmel Valley Ranch Road back to Highway 101. As a former C5 owner I have participated in a number of "fun runs" so this one should be a blast. So far we have about 10 C5 drivers but, I need some more Porsche drivers. This is an equal opportunity ride so let me know if you are interested. Reply if you are interested and stay tuned for details.

POST 2Original post

Our local Boxster group might be interested. We have had drives with 996, Z3, and S2000. Our San Jose meeting place is in the Strouds/Good Guys parking lot on Stevens Creek Blvd. - next to Valley Fair. Send me an email with the info. Tool Pants, With that handle you must be in construction!!! I will drop you a note as we firm up the times, etc. On our ride last year, the South Bay contingent met at the Cal Trains Station off of Monterey Road and Blossom Hill. Right now we are tenatively planning to meet in the San Jose area a 9:30.

POST 4Original post

I am down, and I will be driving my two week old new 993 purchase. I will follow the posts and make it happen!

POST 5Original post

LOL... ToolPants is a name Jeff got because he likes to work on Porsches (anybody's Porsche) -- Jeff is an attorney... ROFL

POST 6Original post

Sounds like a great run. Two suggestions for the Monterey area- Laurelis Grade between Laguna Seca Raceway and Carmel Valley road, and HWY 1 to Big Sur. If you make the trip all the way down from San Jose without taking the extra 15 miles to Big Sur, you are really missing out. Absolutley incredible. If you've never been there, it is hard to keep you eyes on the marvelously curvy road because of the amazing scenery. Was there last weekend with the PCA, and I just can't say enough how great a road that is. Probably shouldn't terrorize that natives though... :-)

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thx Loren. Don't sue me ToolPants. I was only joking!!! Derrick B., I have driven both routes over Carmel Valley Road and down to Big Sur. They are awesome drives especially when you are riding with other car enthusiasts. Stay tuned for details.......

POST 8Original post

Only sue as a last resort - b/f that we take your car apart. Hope there are enough winding roads so us little Boxsters owners do not get left behind. Let me know as soon as there are firm plans and I will put it on the Bay Area Boxster board. Be nice to see Loren again (and maybe 996ers Paul, Don, and Gary) and I might get Andreas (996 turbo in Hollister) out of retirement. POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Stay tuned for an update that I should be able to post this weekend. A few a scouting out the meeting spot in San Jose, selecting a lunch location (The Inn at Spanish Bay and The Lodge were recommended) and the caravan that will follow. For headcount purposes, please post a reply so I can include your handle and the number in your party. Thanks

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Everyone, Please read and respond if you plan on attending. MikeGoat is our coordinator from Monterey and is setting up the lunch portion of the day. Respond directly to him at "[email removed]". More details to follow about the meeting location and departure times to Monterey. Today while walking the AT&T as security for Ray Romano, ( its a tough life, that's why I'm there) I stopped at the Pebble Beach Beach and Tennis Club and made reservations for the 22nd at 12:30 PM. I told them to expect about twenty. Its not important that I didn't have a correct count today but it will become so. They need to set up tables for us. This is a spectacular room that has huge windows to Carmel Bay and Point Lobos. It also has great parking. There is a reasonable menu and a bar. It is right next to the 17th hole and 18th Tee at Pebble Beach right on the water. WHAT I NEED: Please email me with the head count for your car. Don't tell me that so and so is coming and bringing someone. If someone outside the mailing is coming, please pass this request on to them and have them contact me. I really need each of you to tell me if you are coming alone or bringing a guest. I would like this information ASAP. Thanks all!
