Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I recently disconected the battery and found the word code on my radio's display (Porsche cr220). The code in my manual doesn't work!! Anyone know how to circumvent the code? Or how to get the code?

POST 2Original post

Either your radio serial number or your VIN (if the radio was replaced by a dealer) will be in Porsche's records. Your dealer should be able to give you the correct code.

POST 3Original post

Over some countries i know, they'd open ur radio, fiddle with some wires and diode and delete the code request! $25! hehehe... \\W//

POST 4Original post

In Holland the method used by car radio stealing junkies is to briefly connect the power lines to 220V. The police in Rotterdam was amazed when they found out how easy it was to burn the lock logic in about 50% of all radios (and to burn a little bit more in the remaining radios...) If removing the radio from the car is too much work, maybe you could try to connect the 220V straight to the battery. With a bit of luck it will also erase the need to have the correct key to start the car... <img border="0" alt="[ouch]" title="" src="graemlins/c.gif" /> (Please follow these instructions on your own risk.)
