Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

 • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Finally decided a couple of weeks ago on how to spend my $100 from the PCA. I bought the complete technical manual series for the 996. Got a great deal from Sunset Porsche in Oregon, dealer cost +15%+shipping. So it was $259 ($359-$100 )plus 15%/shipping, or about $360 to my door. Keep in mind the local dealer wanted $586! All I can say is what a massive volume of information , about 85lbs of loose paperwork with the appropriate binders. That is the only pain, it took me about a week to go through and sort all the stuff into the binders. Now I have a complete technical manual for my 996 (actually any 996 '97-02). Now to start reading it...

POST 2Original post

I'd love to get my hands on that kind of information.

POST 3Original post

Congratulations DJ996! A wise choice I think Did you get all the supplments? through supplement 67?

POST 4Original post

I just did the same thing! They must be having a run on these manuals. I just ordered mine from the local dealer. He just pulled out a copy of Excellence magazine and looked at the ad from My-Porsche and met the $478 price. Then took the $100 off. He warned me that it came "unassembled" and he was right. This is going to take some time. I ordered it Tuesday afternoon and picked up the huge box on Friday.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Loren, I think I have all the supplements, though admittedly I'm still going through them.

Is 67 still the latest?
quote:
Originally posted by Loren: Congratulations DJ996! POST 7Original post

So, I take it that my '03 isn't included. Were there changes from the '02 that I'm not aware of? And does this include the C4S? My wife commented, "sounds like you could start your own 996 Assembly line from that much data." Thanks, Kent

POST 8Original post

I see some MY'03 information. Also, the C4S is included.
quote:
Originally posted by Kent M. POST 9Original post

I just got a postcard from PCNA that indicates supplements through 69 are now available.
