Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

 • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

South Florida? Looks like I've got to choose. A very tidy place has come up, and I don't think I want to eat Macoroni & cheese for the next umpteen years trying to swing both, I guess it's got to go(along w/ GT3 dreams). Anyone had luck on Auto-Trader? Suggestions where best to advertize? No.. my "Trackmeister" is not for sale! see a e-pic of both..http://boards.rennlist.com/upload/fla_5119.jpg Bill

POST 3Original post

Dont regret a thing Bill, so far you got the neurones in there to hold them good memories up.. am sure everytime you get wacked by a 996 on the way you will still exhibit that silly cruel grin.. waz

POST 4Original post

My opinion -- Autotrader is probably no the best venue primarily because 1) their focus is very broad and the Porsche listings are all over the place (listings for 996s are found under 996, 911, and 911 Carrera) which makes it very hard for people to see the ad. I would consider listing it on eBay. Even if you don't sell it there, you will at least generate some interest that may end up in a sale. I'm not sure about the cost for AutoTrader, but e-bay is $40 to list and another $40 if you sell. Also, depending on you local papers' affiliation, a local listing can also be linked in with the national cars.com database. Mark

POST 5Original post

Sell the C2, buy a house. Once it's paid-off get a 997 GT3. later, amir

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the encouregment, house sellers now talking about wanting me to wait 2-4 months (till they find another place),I would like to lock in today's rates. Have received good news of pending deals(I buy/sell/appraise Capital Equiptment,ie, machine tools) which may render all a mute point by then, and I'm also #3 on 2-dealers lists of GT-3's. What to do, what to do. Perhaps I'll see if I can't kkep the'02 & wait for the next gen GT-3! reagrds Bill

POST 9Original post

Bill, does your 996 have the factory suspension? Maybe it's just my computer screen's failure to contrast, but it almost looks like the car has a lift kit; the space between tires and fender looks unusually large. Maybe it's my eyes...

POST 10Original post

Arthur, I think it's half shadow and half the fact that the wheel is turned slightly toward the camera making it look like its raised. When I looked at it at first I thought the front was riding way higher than the rear, but I figured it out.

POST 11Original post

We want a home in Florida and keep the Pcar, so we're downsizing on the Cape, taking a 4% line of credit, putting down payments on 2 smaller homes (one on the Cape and one in Florida somewhere and keep the Pcar. Might even have enuf to get a used Pcar to keep in Florida. This wether up here sucks right now. To F-in cold...can't run the Pcar because of all the salt and sand on the roads etc.etc. So good luck on your efforts to buy a home and keep your Pcar(s)

POST 12Original post

Don't you have a few children to sell instead of the car!!!

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Arthur, stock suspension! I don't like the way it looks w/ so much space in the wells, but love the way it rides. That's also why I've got a race/track 964! And no! the kids on her own(I sometimes wonder)and would love to get a return on 15 yrs a private 'schoolin . Oh, what a place I'd have in FLA NOW! Anyone interested let me know, but it looks like they've changed their time frame to sell, I've got some time save up some more bucks. Bill

At least you are keeping the track car so you can run at Sebring, Moroso, and Homestead. That is where I go when I need my fix... Good luck
