Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
17 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.
0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

The millenium is a beauty.
Since there are not too many in the market , the price are very high. , Even expensive as the year's 2002.
All depends in personal choices.
Why not consider a used 996TT?
But anyway, between a 993C4S and a 911 Millenium is not a hard choice to make. What does the 993C4S have over a completely loaded with extras exclusive and newer 996 C4?
Mine has the same extras except its not a Millenium because I liked the sport design wheels instead and had no aerokit which I added. So in europe the millenium comes with:
- 18" turbo look wheels
- RoW M030 suspension
- Door entry guards with 911 logo
- Special Violet Chroma Flair exterior paintwork (similar to TVR Tuscan's paint job)
- PCM
- Digital Sound Processing
- PCM handset
- Cruise control
- Trip CPU
- CD changer
- litronics
- Aluminum finish intrument dials
- Tinted glass
- Three spoke steering wheel
- elecrtic powered seats
- heated seats
- lumbar support
- carpets in Natural Brown
- Plaque with edition number on console
- Soft-sheen paint finish in interior plastic parts
- Black alcantara headlining
- Black leatherette sun visors
- Natural leather in: seats, dashboeard, door trim, A-B-C pillars, instrument cover, steering columm, centre console, central air vets, PCM handset and console, airbag module.
- Dark brown maple wood in: door handles, lid of door storage bin.
- Combo of wood and leather in: steering wheel, gear lever, handbrake.
The only M96 based 996 I'd consider would be a 3.6 and if you had to make the choice against a good condition 993 C4s that would be tough.
Point has already been made on a used 996TT......that should be at the top of the page....awesome car, alot of bang for the buck.
didn't want a turbo...would put me in the same insurance bracket as the Ferrari I was looking at. The C4S is a 96 w/188xx miles @ $54000. The Millenium Edition is gonna run me $52200 w/28000 miles. I just love the lines on the 993 but the 996 has a better interior, is supposedly faster AND it's still under warranty.
yellow--
for those figures you are coming close to the cost of a 2002 996 which has a more versatile and powerful engine--keep looking it's a buyer's market right now! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />
a 2002 C4 equipped comparably to the ME would run considerably more than what I'm paying for the ME. As for the differences between the 2002 and the 993 C4S, those 993 lines are priceless.
I think your responses are telling YellowC4S - You value the creature comforts of the 996, the newness of the car (warrantee), and the technological advances that come with a new version.
BUT - you can't get away from the fact that you really love the look of the 993! In my opinion, there's nothing wrong with putting alot of value on car's exterior esthetics - so I think you have to just follow your heart on which car will quicken your pulse when you see it each morning.
This is a personal preference, but I wouldn't let the quantity of options steer my decision. When purchasing pre-owned cars, it's always nice to get a few bells and whistles that someone else has already paid for.. But I would view them as nice to haves, and would not pick a ME over a better non-ME just because of the ME's standard equiptment list. I don't look at my headliner enough to care if it's leather or not...
993 has that good old Porsche door "thunk."
I know it is a relatively minor point, but many people interpret that solid-as-a-tank "thunk" sound as a sign of bulletproof build quality.
Porsche should bring back the thunk.
