Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Install after purchase' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Install after purchase' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey, you guys with the 030 sus on the 996. How tolerable is it on a day to day basis? did you buy your car with it or have it installed after purchase. If after purchase, what did it cost and do you recommend that mod?
Absolutely tolerable for european streets here (even with 18" wheels) and best upgrade you can do.
If you are going to qet the sport suspension you might as well make sure its the RoW M030 (1200$ + installation).
I personally bought the car with it, since I had tried a 996 on a DE without it (and 17" wheels) before my purchase and I was very let down by the stock supension.
The 030 is a street suspension. I have the US version and it just "tightens" up the car a bit. Yes, it rides slightly stiffer but not at all objectionable. I was hoping for a little better track performance, particularly in high speed corners the turn-in is not exactly re-assuring. Works great day-to-day and is really hooked up around cloverleafs because it is soft enough to deal with the bumps in the road. And it is only a $700 option.
The other option for the street is buying the ROW 030 and adding it later. The ROW is a bit stiffer and a bit lower. If you are going to change out the suspension after taking delivery, you probably want to do the ROW version. I kind of wish I had gone this route, but not enough to change everything over now. It's about $1100 from Carnewal.com plus labor and alignment. It is not a huge job.
The C4S has the Turbo Suspension, the only difference is that its tunned to take in account the C4S' slightly lower weight, therefore the Sport Suspension for the C4S is not going to be the same one as the ROW/US M030 for the C2/C4.
I don't know if there is a Sport Suspension Kit from Porsche for the C4S. Just make sure its for the C4S since the C2/C4 will not do.
Living in the city of San Francisco you will feel more of the bumps/irregularities on the roads but man what a difference it makes on the track. IMO-it's not all that objectionable and it is a daily driver for me so it depends what kind of roads you are driving and if DE's are part of that- I would opt for it. It's like nite/day compared to stock on the track but not bad on the streets as well. Good compromise for both I think. Regards and good luck. Mike
The 030 Sport Suspension is a very livable setup in a daily driver. Much, much improved handling with minimal deterioration in ride. The best bang for the buck option from Porsche. I would order it for sure on a new car, or better yet add RoW M030 if the car does not have M030 from the factory. I would never get a Porsche without this option.
I added the RoW M030 recently (from Carnewal) after about 27,000 on the standard U.S. setup and 18" wheels.
Handling improvements are very real, particularly reduced understeer--the main thing I was personally looking for. The car also turns in more quickly, and feels much more controllable with the suspension compressed.
The ride really is harder, I suppose consistent with the roughly 15% increase in stiffness. Not very noticeable on smooth roads, highway might be better than stock, but you get a significantly bigger jolt over larger bumps and holes. FWIW on Michelins, 41psi cold at the rear seems to be where handling is sublime but bump harshness gets annoying.
Despite adding the factory engine protector plate, no new ground clearance problems at all. Thought I would scrape more and I really have not, including my rather difficult driveway.
