We ran the orange compound for a little while and were disappointed in the stopping power and thats when we made the move to the black compound.

I doubt the Yellow compound would give us much more wear, but it would be nice if someone out there has used the Pagid Yellow.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Okay, ... any of you guys know anything about these pads?

They just popped up on the Suncoast site. They don't know much about them.

Hmm, they are listed in PET as a Tequipment part. In the Tequipment catalog, they are listed as a "retrofit brake pad" for 996C2/C4. The 351's are front and the 352's are rear pads. They are not stock pads from any of the 986 or 996 models. Perhaps they are higher performance or perhaps they are designed to be less noisey than stock, for those finickey types, who knows. There are plenty of aftermarket pads for the 996 that you won't have to guess about if you want a performance pad.

Karl,
Yes, I found it interesting that the boys at Suncoast didnt have more information. The website has them listed as a track pad. As for the aftermarket pads, Ive found the Pagid to work very well, however, too expensive for general DE events. Using the Pagid Green, or to some the Black compound, we are getting only about two, two and a half days at the larger tracks such as the Glen. I doubt the Yellow compound would give us much more wear, but it would be nice if someone out there has used the Pagid Yellow. (at $500+ for all corners.)

A couple points. I have run Pagid Oranges for several years and do about 45 track days per year. In a year I go through 3 sets of front pads and 1 set of rears. So I don't understand why you are getting such bad wear with yours. Have you looked into added some brake cooling to the front? That may help.
I buy my Pagids from Northstar Motorsports. The Oranges for my car (which has GT3 brakes) are only $199 per set, or under $400 for all 4 corners. Sounds like you need to shop a little more on price.
Karl
Karl,
We ran the orange compound for a little while and were disappointed in the stopping power and thats when we made the move to the black compound. We like the black other than this wear factor. We order our pads from Paragon. $420 all around for the blacks, $500 + if we consider the yellow. Maybe Ill look into Northstar, however, I doubt they will be really much of a difference. I think the real reason behind the wear, as opposed to what you are finding is all about the GT3 brakes. Our 99 has the small brakes. Gives me something to really think about. Your suggestion about cooling, although, is accurate. Our racecar equipped with the Big Reds will run days and days and days. At any rate, I originally posted about the performance pads from Suncoast and if there is anyone else out there with info on them please share.
