Like Krazy said I just need a reset so I will have to go to a shop and get it reset.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

For a week now my rh door has had a rattle/vibration. I disconnected the battery removed the passenger door panel and air bag peeled back the waterproof liner and there was the loose screw. I tightened up the loose screw buttoned it up connected the battery and started the car. Airbag lamp is on! Took it all apart and sure enough the connector for the airbag was on but not snapped tight. I reconnected it making sure it was nice and tight but the lamp is still on. My cheap scanner shows no codes! Is there a way to reset this myself or do I have to take it some place to have it done? I cant stand that lamp on !!! Thanks in advance

POST 2Original post

You need a durametric to reset, did you have the key in ignition when you removed the panel?

POST 3Original post

So it obviously was not really connected before you re-connected the battery. Sounds like thats all that happened. Friendly shop or buddy with Durametric can help you like Marc said.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thinking everything was ok I buttoned it up and went for a ride to make sure the rattle was gone. When I started it up I set the code. Like Krazy said I just need a reset so I will have to go to a shop and get it reset. I dont know anyone who has the tool.
