Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Guys have a 1999 C2 Cab with leaking Hydraulic Cylinders, one side worst than the other but want to change them both, would like to do it myself and save $600 labor, anyone have any input?,how hard a job?,any DIY links Thanks Albert

POST 2Original post

Check Renntech. Also, I think some people have had their cylinders rebuilt, rather than replacing them with new cylinders.

POST 3Original post

these first two links will refurbish your old cylinders. http://cabriolethydraulics.com/porsc...hydraulics.php http://www.tophydraulicsinc.com/en/8-porsche This may help you in replacing the part. http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarti..._Mechanism.htm Good luck and let us know how the diy goes..

POST 4Original post

Are you sure the leaking is from the cylinders themselves? Did you get a chance to take any pictures? The cylinders are pricey if buying new to replace. The idea of having them rebuilt is probably a good start.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

there is fuild uder both cylinders, the right side was leaking down the wheel well on to the ground

POST 6Original post

if you are sure they are leaking then take them off and send them as core to the link I posted and get the refurbished ones for like $400 for the two of them. http://www.tophydraulicsinc.com/en/8-porsche

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I believe you have to take the inside of the car apart to get at them, couldnt find any DIY on that, anyone have any onfo Thanks
