Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I replaced the front pads, rotors, and all hardware with OEM parts. I'm ready to do the rears and noticed that the rear rotors have only a very slight lip on them. I have all of the replacement parts on hand. Does it make sense to replace the rears now or should I just do the pads and hold on to the new rotors?
The car has 50k miles on it and I got it with 37k on the clock. Is it safe to assume that these are the original rotors?
Update: I didn't have time to wait for an answer so I installed the new rotors.
It is not the end of the world to replace rear brake hardware before its time. You now have the brakes up to snuff and 50K or more of trouble free driving ahead of you.
OTOH, I have ordered front and rear brake hardware and found while the front brakes needed attention the rear brakes had plenty of pad/rotor life left and left them be.
Unless the car was heavily tracked the brakes were probably original equipment.
Sometimes you can tell if the brakes have been disturbed by the paint spots on the hardware being obviously disturbed.
The caliper bolts were the old style with the hex bolts instead of Torx, so they probably were original. The rotors really weren't in bad shape, but I figured I'd change them as I just did the fronts a few days ago and the procedure was still fresh in my mind. Glad I did the front first - the rears are little trickier.
The first side took me about 2 hours - rechecking the video, looking at Renntech, panicking, etc. The second side took me about 30 minutes. Live and learn.
Brake fluid flush next weekend. (another first for me)
No worry. I always install new rotors every time that I change the pads. I know, it might not be officially required and it adds cost (which isn't a big deal for me), but this way I know that my brakes are 100% new and I won't have any judder, squealing, or other problems somewhere down the road.
