Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The outer boss (ear) has broken on the clutch fork pivot shaft bearing of my tranny. Options are repair case by welding or replace case. The ear is toast. Has anyone had any experience with an outfit called californiamotorsports. They offer a repair in which they grind off the damaged area and weld in a replacement boss. Pictures may follow. Any input appreciated. BTW I am located in philadelphia .

POST 2Original post

I had a great experience with CMS when I had them rebuild my gear stack. I visited their shop and saw a few cases undergoing repairs of that nature, they really do great work. ( A couple guys say +1 on CMS: ) https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...-bay-area.html

This part doesnt exist. Could you be more clear on where exactly something broke? Do you mean the pivot pin boss is broken? Photos would be great.
