Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Outcome without a verified action link

I fixed mine, cleaned up everything really well, sprayed it all with silicone spray and it has worked perfectly ever since.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey everybody, I have a 2003 C2 that just hit 20,000 miles yesterday, the car has been rarely driven before I got my hands on it and I have finally found some time to put a good amount of miles on it. Just wanted to say that the car has not died XD and I have not had any trouble with the car other than a few age related things. vd7ajxl.jpg EJu9jh9.jpg

POST 2Original post

20k miles, nice. Aren't you glad previous owners saved it for you?

POST 4Original post

Wow that car is still new! Mine is one year older and has almost 110k more than yours!

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am really happy about the low miles. The brakes still look new, except for some rust on the top hats. I am having a few issues, does anyone know how to adjust the trunk latch? The trunk actuator releases but the trunk does not pop up. I also need to replace the wiper cowl at the base of the windshield, but I cant find instructions.

POST 6Original post

Mine did the same thing when I first got it. Spray some WD40 down in the latch. It'll work like new; mine has for the last 5 month since.

POST 7Original post

Had the same hood problem. Remove the plastic cover around the hood latch. Remove the hood latch mechanism. There is a wire type spring that has a tendency to come off the landing that makes the spring pressure to pop the hood up. I fixed mine, cleaned up everything really well, sprayed it all with silicone spray and it has worked perfectly ever since. Takes about 15-20 minutes. Also a good idea at the time is to re-route the manual emergency release cable to behind the tow hook cover in the front bumper.

20K? I am closing in on 120K. Guess who's had more fun?
