I am noticing that my '99 is struggling before it fires. It does start every time but I am still concerned. It's a weekend driver for me but I do drive it about 60 miles a week. What should I be looking at to nip this thing in the bud before it doesn't start? Battery voltage seems fine - per the gage in the car.

Cranks fast but won't start easily or cranks slow and then fires up, or cranks slow when engine is hot and you want to restart.......? pete

Cranks slow and then fires up - when cold I suppose. I don't think I notice a difference between when the engine is hot or cold.

Try an overnight charge on your battery then try again. ALSO it takes less charge from your battery when you leave it for a week with the car locked then it does unlocked. Lock the car every time. Failing that get the battery checked for free at Auto zone or pep boys. You may need a new one. Failing that check when your plugs were last changed.
