This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just purchased a 2000 C4 for myself. I took the car in for a PPI and they found that the drivers side (left) high beam was not working properly. It does come on, but only produces a dull yellow glow. The same light on the passenger side is very bright. So I exchanged bulbs but still got the same result. The fuse in A2 looks fine. So has anyone else experienced this? Any advice? I need to have this working to be able to pass the safety inspection required to licence the car.

POST 2Original post

Did you try swapping out the ballasts(assuming it's Xenon)? If not Xenon's, take a multimeter and measure the voltage at the connector to the bulb to make sure you're getting the correct voltage. And also look for any burned insulation or wires as previous owner could've used high wattage bulbs, thus melting some wires potentially.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It's the regular lights, not the Litronics.

POST 4Original post

Going to loan medent a spare set of halogens so he can get his safety and hopefully trouble shoot to see what is wrong with his high beams.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks to Revn20k00 I have found that the problem lies somewhere within my light unit. I replaced mine with his and the high beam functioned normally. Thanks again for your help. Great Rennlister.
