Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm thinking of selling my 03 996 in order to purchase a Turbo one. I'm your opinion which 911 Turbo s faster Between the year models 99 thru 05 TIA G'

POST 2Original post

probably the latest year. 05. Go for the latest year anyway if you can afford it.

POST 3Original post

05 Turbo S is fastest, but you can find earlier years with X50 (option code) that is same as 05 Turbo S. An 05 Turbo S adds PCCB. Some 04s that was an option. Then there are GT2s...different beast and rare. As fast as Turbo S. Lighter weight might make it quicker. What exactly do you want to know. Hit 996 turbo board.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My plan is to trade up to a Turbo and stay below 45k

POST 6Original post

You're splitting hairs here... They are all fast. They are all powered by the same engine. In your price range, you might be able to find a 2001 or 2002 with the X50 package. That's probably your best bet.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I got to find a dealer close to me with one so I can trade mine in! I'll be looking for one with the x50 package. Is that the same as Turbo S ? G'

POST 8Original post

At the point you've decided on a turbo, spend less time agonizing about a specific year and instead focus on condition, mileage, maintenance, etc. Refusing to consider an '03 or '04 solely because of the model year might lead you to the wrong car. A quarter-second difference in 0-60 time isn't going to be worth as much to you as peace of mind knowing you bought the car you should have.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Not ruling out any year and or a GT2 but dunno if I can find one under :45k G'

POST 10Original post

I suspect that any 996TT is faster than 90% of owner's ability to drive those rocket ships.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Somebody help me find one under 45k

POST 13Original post

Look on EBay Motors. You will find one meeting those criteria. Actually, you will find more than one. There was just a one-owner TT for sale near me for $35K. Looked like a beauty. The listing expired last week. Maybe you can still contact the owner. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/996-/...orcev4exp=true
