While the Houston freeways are an unmitigated joy and their much-deserved reputation as a driver's paradise is well-known around the world, I am nonetheless looking forward to getting this little coupe on a road that undulates and changes direction slightly from time to time.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

While the Houston freeways are an unmitigated joy and their much-deserved reputation as a driver's paradise is well-known around the world, I am nonetheless looking forward to getting this little coupe on a road that undulates and changes direction slightly from time to time. We have a family trip to Lake LBJ NW of Austin coming up and I would be grateful for any suggestions for nearby fun routes to explore. Cheers and gracias!

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I guess this should have gone in general or another topic area. Sorry!

POST 3Original post

Find a Texas Winery guide -- There are some great back roads to/from those. You don't even have to do the wineries -- but make them way points. Good BBQ fills in the wine stops. Then take back roads out to Mason and over to Fredericksburg. Some of it is 2 lane 60+ MPH twisties with some 30-45mph turns thrown in. There is a guy in Houston that sets up Boxstoberfest in Fredericksburg each year. They do road rallies in/around Frederickburg -- They often look for new routes each year. Mike

POST 4Original post

+1 for Fredericksburg. There are some nice places to drive down in the Pedernales State Park area too.
