Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

34 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have seen them B4 and can't seem to find them. Sport seats are not in the budget right now so this would be a good option in the mean time.

POST 2Original post

what would make it a good option - spend money on bling? and those look like sport seats dont they - so how would those fit a standard seat 9if that is what you have) just askin

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

What is this "Bling" of which you speak? Actually they are a shell that fits over the back and gives you the "wings" that the sport seats have. Sport seats are MUCH more comfortable in my opinion. Just did a long road trip and realized how much I miss them.

POST 4Original post

This is all I have seen, for the money you could probably find a nice set of sports seats. LINK

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeah that is what they cost for a real set. I had seen them on Ebay before. But can't find them now

POST 6Original post

Quotes source post: 9822542

Only thing I like about those it it allows you to keep the full power seats and memory.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

You are correct. Whenever I have retrofitted Sport seats in you have to do some wiring. Anyone on here have these shells?

POST 8Original post

I am not totally sure that those seat backs will be looking too cool. Like a fake Rolex or a kit car... there is just something to be said about original. I mean, would you stick on an "S" on the back of your car so people think that is what you are driving?

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have seen them and they look just fine dude. And many peeps on this site know I am no poser and put together real nice looking cars.....not just put on a badge

Im big on oem but think that's a bit extreme.

I hear ya, just think that they are cheesy.

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Not donating to the site and becoming a member with 245+ post is kinda cheesy But thanks for your opinion. I can't seem to find them anyway. Next will be the long road to find heated GRAY sport seats. It is easy to tear them down to have the back painted. If anyone finds these in the mean time let me know (the Cheesy backs or a set of reasonable Sports)

POST 13Original post

here's some from NR http://www.nrauto.com/productsdetail...i=MTQ=&mn=OTk2

POST 14Original post

It would only add the small, shoulder level wings?

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

And the painted backs (or Bling ) Thanks Nick, those are what Marc posted. VERTEX use to carry them but no more. Oh well

POST 18Original post

Pushing others to become members is lame too.

POST 19Original post

I think this is what you were looking at http://lltek.com/PRS_bin/PRS_40_porbxstr_seatmod.htm

POST 20 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That is it! I bought a set (for bling only of course) from an actual board member for $200. Will get them painted and install them myself and will post cheesy pictures................

POST 21Original post

the little wings are attached to the back - COOL!! now I like them LOL at all this cheese!

POST 22Original post

I was going to buy a set from a member from a member, Aslan, over at 6 Speed. Those are the Orciari seatback covers, which are now discontinued. Unfortunately for Aslan, and for myself, if you have the Sport Seats with the elephant ears already built into the seats, then these seat backs won't work . :-( Aslan's got a set of these covers in speed yellow if anyone is interested. I pinged Orciari, and Matteo Orciari was were nice enough to send me the instructions to install them. Here are my sport seat (which the Orciari will not fit), just so you know what I'm speaking about when I talk about elephant ears....

POST 23 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have the regular seats so these will work (I bought his and they arrived today.). It is not hard for you to remove your seat backs to get them painted. I have done it several times. Mine go to paint in a few days. Will post Cheesy pictures when done

POST 25 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Heck yeah. What do I have to lose. I have a good friend that has a body shop and he will paint for $0 and the "ears" needed to be dyed gray and I have that dye. Did those this afternoon. I think it will look good. Did a test fit and they look great (other than they are yellow (maybe right for a Michigan fan)).

POST 28Original post

I like that... does anyone else have a set for sale?

POST 29Original post

For $200 it is worth a try If you find them used but at the full price of almost $900, I'd much rather get some aftermarket sport seats. Good idea for an upgrade but too much money for just updated backrests.

POST 30 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Matt, I agree. When they were on Ebay they were no where near as costly. You can get a set of sports seats from 1500-2000 easy

POST 31Original post

Yea it is cool when you get an upgrade for much less. I'm looking forward to seeing your car when you get these installed. I'm still trying to decide whether or not to gt some racing seats. Since I'm getting older they area pain in the back to get into and out of. I may just keep my stock seats.

POST 33Original post

Hey, Tim -- Glad that you got them installed. The manufacturer would love it if you could send pictures his way... Great! If you have time take some pics and then send them to me Thanks Matteo Orciari O.R. Design s.r.l.
